to travel. And today i will tell you about the city of mughal nawabs ,the city
of history. THAT IS LUCKNOW,capital of Uttar Pradesh....
following places are some important places u should visit atleast once...
1)BARA IMAMBARA:-
Bara Imambargha is an imambargha complex
in Lucknow, India, built by Asaf-ud-Daula, Nawab of Awadh, in 1784. It is also
called the Asafi Imambara. Bara means big, and an imambara is a shrine built by
Shia Muslims of delhi for the purpose of Azadari.
*** BHOOL BHULAIYA*****A labyrinth of about a thousand passageways, the Bhool Bhulaiya at Bada Imambara inLucknow, has intrigued traveler as well as architects for the last two hundred years. The fourth Nawab, Asaf-Ud-Dowhala, commissioned the building during the drought year of 1784 AD to help the poor make a living.

worship for the Muslims who come here every year to celebrate the religious
festival of Muharram.
2)RESIDENCY:-
Situated on the southern part of Gomti
River, the Residency was constructed for the British residents in 1775.
Stretching over an area of thirty three acres of land along the river side this
is an exclusive property with a range of houses, where though the northern side
building was referred as Residency earlier, but after the battle of 1857, all
the houses were together termed as The Residency.
3)STATE
MUSEAM:-
The State Museum in Lucknow was earlier
situated in the Chattar Manzil and the Lai Baradari. It was shifted during the
year 1963 to the new building in Lucknow Zoo. Initially, there was a collection
of Awadh arts and contemporary objects of Awadh.

4)sikandar bagh lucknow:-
Sikandar Bagh, formerly
known by the British as Sikunder/Sikandra/Secundra Bagh, is a villa and garden
enclosed by a fortified wall, with loopholes, gateway and corner bastions,
approx.

Sikandar Bagh is open from 5am to 8pm every
day.
Amongst the Nawabs of Awadh, it was the sixth
Nawab, Saadat Ali Khan (1798-1814) who proved to be the most efficient in the
administration and collection of revenue through the Amani system, introduced
by him. He was also the first to set up a royal treasury with a reserve fund,
to which he left a sum of fourteen crores at the time of his untimely death,
despite his love for horses and construction and purchase of palatial
buildings.
6) la martiniere:-
La Martiniere College, Lucknow. La Martiniere College, Lucknow,
established in 1845, was founded in accordance with the Will of Major General
Claude Martin. Born in Lyon, France, in 1735, the Founder died in Lucknow on 13
September, 1800.
7)kaiserbagh palace:-
Kaiserbagh Palace is located in the
south-east corner of Chattar Manzil. As soon as he ascended the throne in 1847,
Wajid Ali Shah began the construction the palace. Known as an acclaimed singer
and a poet rather than a good administrator, Wajid Ali Shah visualised a palace
complex that amalgamated all the intricacies of a paradise garden.
At the heart of the palace complex was placed the main quadrangle, which had an elaborate charbagh. Through two identical gates known as Lakhi gates, the palace could be entered.

8)Tomb of Saadat Ali khan:-
Before it came in the present form, the same place was
the part of grand palace wherein Ghazi-ud-Din Haider used to reside, which was
built by Saadat. Saadat Ali Khan was laid to rest where his son Ghazi-ud-Din
Haider used to dwell. Later this residence turned into the present day tomb,
which was denoted as Kaiser Bagh by the royal family.
